Tobacco Free

St. Cloud State's 100-acre campus is tobacco-free. These exceptions are allowed in accordance with the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act:

  • Traditional Native American ceremonies, scientific studies and theatrical productions.
  • Private vehicles on university property, as long as respect for individuals and the environment is demonstrated.

For more information, check out Tobacco Free.

Trails and Parks:

Mississippi River Walk is university property and is not available for tobacco use, however, on the Beaver Island Trail, beginning south of University, tobacco use is allowed.

The rounded tip of Barden Park is university property and is not available for tobacco use. As a commitment to the health of our community, tobacco use should move to 8th St, 5th Ave or 6th St rather than into the city park.
