We value the qualities of maturity, dedication, persistence, responsibility and leadership you bring to our university. We'll facilitate your move from a tight-knit military community to a campus support system.

Admission Checklist

After you complete our military-connected student admission checklist, you will be set to start classes.

1: Apply to St. Cloud State University

Apply online or receive an application by mail, call (877) 654-SCSU. For an email application, make a request by emailing scsu4u@wantbigbreasts.com.

2: Transcripts

Request your official transcripts for previous college level coursework, including military training. Our registrar will evaluate it for transfer credit. To request your military transcript (Army, Navy, Marine Corps., Coast Guard) visit Joint Service Transcript. Visit the community college of the air force for this transcript.

3: Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)

Even if you are using education benefits from military service, you should seek additional financial aid through FAFSA.

  • Complete a FAFSA application for student financial aid. Financial aid is initially based off of your previous year’s earnings. If this doesn’t reflect your income at the time you will be taking classes, submit an appeal.
  • The Financial Aid Office is in Administrative Services, Room 106. 

4: Education Benefits

If you are a military-connected student you may be eligible for multiple military education benefits.

5: Register For Classes

Huskies Advising & Registration is your next step to unleashing amazing at St. Cloud State!

At Huskies Advising & Registration, you will:

  • Register for classes (Go to : e-Services)
    • After you have completed registering for the semester, complete the SCSU Veterans Enrollment Application.  If you add or drop any courses after completing this online certification, please contact the VA Certifying Official and inform us of courses you have added or dropped for the semester.
  • Have access to advising services and resources
  • Experience campus
  • Take Accuplacer placement tests if needed
  • Get prepared for college success
